St.John's

The best pub and bar-city I've ever been too. Says a lot about me probably, but it's just amazing to sit on the strip (water str.) and look at at those fancy cars driving back and forth to be seen - of course- the sounds of Harleys, the smell of food, gasoline and god knows what - having a beer and easy street food. Just don't  go to Brodericks to eat - you will be disappointed- trust me.  They don't know how to cook - period, and no tip.  My photos is from another part of the Water street

The Rooms

What a building  - The Rooms is a must visit when you're in St.John's. Its perfectly situated with a great view of the sea entrance to St.John's. It's a library, museum  art gallery, archive and much much more.
You can spend hours here - and return the next day - to enjoy the exhibitions, the stunning view, the atmosphere and the rooms - it's just perfect.
On top floor (4) they have a great restaurant- with a view (of course) I tried the fish cakes of cod - yummy:)

seeing places - Canada

Canada is huge - the second largest country in the world and I've been almost everywhere where most people live🙂

Baku

Baku - minus 28 meter above sea-level!
I went for a Formula 1 race. What a beautiful city. I stayed in the old city- or inner city  as they say. It is widely accepted that the Old City, including its Maiden Tower date at least to the 12th century, with some researchers contending that construction dates as far back as the 7th century.
Baku is a mix of old and new.
I was, of course, in Baku TV-Tower. 310 meter and it is the tallest structure in Azerbaijan and the tallest reinforced concrete building in Caucasus.

Baku has many signal buildings, huge avenues, state-of-the-art shopping malls, parks, museums and every cafe chain you can think of. By the way, coffee and electronics are quite expensive in Baku. Food and drinks, clothes, perfume and such are quite affordable. The people are wonderfully nice, helpful and attentive, but have poor English skills

London Gatwick- Horley

Spent a couple of days in Horley in Surrey just south of London. It's a nice little town close to Gatwick airport.
I will absolutely recommend a stopover here.
13£ by taxi from th Airport. Pubs, restaurants and Cafés everywhere and reasonable accommodations.
